Most cleaners go by the hour. And the rough charges are $20 to $35 per hour of cleaning, depending on the extensiveness of cleaning.

For a typical 4 room hdb flat, it will require about 4h of cleaning weekly. Taking that number hours into account, you will spend about $400 per month. 

Do take note that most cleaning companies have a minimum number of hour of cleaning. That means that you cannot have the cleaner come over for 1h of cleaning. It doesn’t make sense for the cleaner to travel down only for an hour of cleaning.

You can also reduce the number of hours or frequency of cleaning by doing some light cleaning in between the sessions.

How do you pay the cleaning company?

Some cleaning companies act as the agency by getting an upfront fee from you to source for 1 or a few cleaners for you.

Getting a part time cleaner is much less of a hassle. You do not need be concerned of a foreign person living in your house all the time.
